Iranian officials have informed the family of the Kurdish political prisoner Mansour Arvand, that was executed Sunday, June 14, 2015.
Mansour Arvand was arrested in his home, in June 2011, and sentenced to death by the first of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad (a Kurdish city in West Azerbaijan province in Iran), on charges of “moharebeh” (enmity against God) and party affiliation of the Kurdish opposition.
We also take this opportunity to make an appeal to the Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki Mon, High Commissioner of the United Nations for Human Rights, Navi Pillay, the international community, European countries, the States States and all bodies that are able to influence, to use means of pressure at its disposal in order to make the necessary pressure on the Iranian regime to stop the executions of political activists in Iran.
